Who we are

SalsaCoach is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY / Carlos Morales] ("we"). Contact: carlosm7@arizona.edu.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and password (stored as a secure hash by our backend provider).
• Profile data you provide: display name, experience level, preferred timing and language, goals; for instructors additionally bio, city, styles, and social links (which you choose to make public).
• Practice data: rhythm session results (scores, timing offsets, tempo, mode), lesson progress, private notes, follows, and settings.
• We do NOT collect: location, contacts, photos, video, audio recordings, advertising identifiers. The app contains no ads and no third-party ad tracking.

How we use it

Solely to run the app: show your progress, sync your data across sessions, display public instructor profiles, and send notifications you opt into (practice reminders are scheduled on your device). We do not sell your data.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider). Your login session is encrypted on your device. Private data (practice results, notes, settings) is protected by row-level security — only your account can read it.

What's public

Instructor profiles (name, bio, city, styles, social links, published lessons) are public by design. Student profiles are private by default.

Deletion & export

Email carlosm7@arizona.edu from your account email to request export or deletion of your account and all associated data. During the beta this is handled manually within 30 days; an in-app deletion flow ships before public launch.

Children

SalsaCoach is not directed at children under 13.
