Privacy Policy
1. Who we are & how to reach us
SalsaCoach is operated by AmplifyWebX LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("AmplifyWebX," "we," "us," or "our"). "SalsaCoach" is our product and service. This policy explains how we handle information for SalsaCoach.
Questions or requests? Email support@mysalsacoach.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- the website at mysalsacoach.com;
- the free browser trainer;
- the private beta SalsaCoach app;
- the beta / waitlist signup form; and
- instructor features — only where those features are actually used or enabled.
3. Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use SalsaCoach:
- Beta signup information: when you join the invite list, the form collects your name, email, phone type (Android / iPhone / Both), role (dancer / instructor / both), and optionally a city or dance scene. It also records non-personal context: your interface language, the page, and — if you arrived from a campaign link — that link's source (for example a UTM tag).
- Account & authentication information: if you create a beta account, your email and sign-in credentials. Authentication is handled by Supabase; SalsaCoach does not receive or store your plaintext password.
- Profile information: details you choose to add, such as a display name, experience level, preferred timing (On1 / On2), and language.
- Practice & progress information: results from rhythm drills (scores, timing offsets, tempo, mode), lesson progress, streaks, settings, and any private notes you save.
- Instructor information: if you create an instructor profile, the bio, city, styles, and links you choose to publish.
- Device & technical information: basic technical data needed to deliver and secure the service, such as general device / browser type and information your device sends when it connects to our providers.
- Analytics information: aggregate, cookieless website analytics (see Section 8).
- Support messages: anything you voluntarily include when you email us for help.
4. Location
SalsaCoach does not request or collect your precise or GPS location. You may choose to share a general location — such as a city or dance scene — through the beta form or an instructor profile. That is optional, self-provided text, not location tracking.
5. Things the beta does not intentionally collect
The current beta is not designed to collect your contacts, photos, video, microphone recordings, precise GPS location, or advertising identifiers, and it contains no advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy first. (As with any online service, our infrastructure providers may keep ordinary technical logs to run and secure their systems.)
6. How we use information
We use information for legitimate, operational purposes:
- to provide and maintain the service;
- to authenticate accounts and keep them secure;
- to save your settings and practice progress;
- to operate the waitlist and private beta;
- to respond to your support requests;
- to improve stability, quality, and usability;
- to prevent abuse and protect the security of the service and its users;
- to comply with legal obligations; and
- to send you beta invitations and important product updates you asked for.
7. Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers that process information on our behalf for the operational purposes above, under their own terms and privacy commitments:
- Supabase — account authentication and database.
- Netlify — website hosting, form submissions, and deployment.
- Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and cookieless website analytics.
- Email delivery — used to deliver beta-form notifications and communications to us.
- Google Fonts — the site currently loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them and may transmit ordinary network information such as your IP address.
8. Analytics & local storage
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool, to understand aggregate traffic and site performance (for example, how many people visit a page and which links bring them). It is designed to avoid cookies and to measure visits in aggregate rather than to identify you individually. Separately, Cloudflare may perform essential security and delivery functions that operate independently of the analytics beacon.
The website uses first-party local storage on your device to remember your language choice, your browser-trainer calibration and settings, and — if you arrived from a campaign link — that link's source. It does not store your beta form answers in local storage, and it sets no advertising cookies.
9. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be:
- processed by the operational service providers listed above;
- disclosed when we are legally required to do so, or to protect rights, safety, or the security of the service; and
- transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of the business, with appropriate notice and continued protection for your information.
10. Public instructor information
Instructor details become public only when you intentionally create and publish an instructor profile, and only where that feature is available to you. The instructor directory is early and evolving; it is not a fully launched marketplace, and there are no bookings or payments. Student and practice data are private by default.
11. How long we keep information
- Waitlist records are kept while the beta / invite program is active, until they are no longer needed, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Account and practice data are kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when reasonably needed for backups, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
- Copies in routine backups may take additional time to be fully removed.
During the private beta we handle deletion requests manually, with a target of about 30 days. This is a target, not a guarantee; we will let you know if a request needs longer.
12. Your choices & requests
You can ask us to:
- access the information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong;
- export your information;
- delete your account and associated data; and
- remove you from beta communications.
Email support@mysalsacoach.com from your account email to make a request. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; tell us and we will do our best to honor them.
13. Email communications
You can opt out of non-essential product updates at any time. We may still send you account, security, legal, or beta-invitation messages you have asked for where appropriate. We are not running an email marketing system during the beta.
14. Children
SalsaCoach is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 may not create an account or submit personal information through the service. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
15. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
16. Changes & contact
If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the updated policy with a new date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. Questions? Email support@mysalsacoach.com.
These documents are intended to reflect SalsaCoach's current beta practices.
